the
highs and lows of racing.....
I had been waiting for this round all season, maybe even since May
last year when we last raced here, as this was not only my favourite
track but one I knew very well. I was prepared well and early so that
I could get up to the circuit early enough on the Thursday to grab
a decent spot for myself and Alan. Gazza was not travelling in the
trusty blue van and would be joining us Friday night after the test
day. At 5.30pm I joined the already long queue just outside the circuit
but it wasn't long before we were let in to the paddock so that we
could all choose our piece of tarmac to call home for the next few

Snetterton

races, wind, rain, floods and oh, a 40th birthday....
With a successful test at Brands Hatch completed at the end of
June, I was looking forward to returning to the Norfolk circuit.
The last two rounds were at circuits I had never been to before
but this one was a place I had done many laps. Snetterton is the
fastest circuit we visit with a back straight which we can get
up to speeds of around 160mph and a front straight which nearly
matches that. It is tough on both engines and brakes, and favours
the more powerful machines....more>

Cadwell

said it was tough to learn.....
With the change of plans brought on by the snow last month, we were
now heading to Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire for round 2 of the Dyna-pro
MRO Supersport 600 championship. This was a circuit I had never
been to before (again), not even as a spectator, so it was vital
I did the Friday test day. Cadwell has a bit of a reputation for
being a tough circuit to learn with so many blind corners and narrow
sections. I spoke to a few people about it: "you've never been
there before? You'll need the test day but you will love it"
- bemsee office. '"I've been there 3 times and never quite
got the hang of it" - fellow rider of 30 years experience.
" go to the gym and don't come out until you leave for the
circuit, you can lose 3 seconds a corner around there" - current

Donnington

sleet, hail, wind and rain - perfect for racing....
After the months of waiting and preparation the first round had
finally come along over the Easter weekend. This year I am contesting
the clubmans cup within the Dyno-Pro MRO Supersport championship
after completing my rookie year in 2007. For this round there was
no official test day but fortunately there was a trackday arranged
for Good Friday which was great because I had only ever been to
Donnington once and that was to watch...more>
